A long, traditionally styled sofa or console table featuring a gently rounded rectangular top with finely moulded edge and a shallow apron decorated with vertical reeded detail and a pattern of small repeating rectangles. The table stands on two boldly turned column supports joined by a shaped stretcher above splayed legs, each terminating in a cast metal paw foot. The main structure is composed of hardwood in a clear medium-brown finish. The decorative metal feet display both patination and foliate or paw motif detail, evoking classical revival designs popular in North America during the mid-20th century. Minor surface wear is visible, all consistent with regular use. Dimensions: 60 x 17 x 30 in.
