LOil on tin panel, unsigned, depicting two peasants drinking and smoking at a table in a rustic interior, one figure raising a glass while the other leans back in laughter, a jug and other tavern objects on the floor and table. The work is set within its original gilt gesso frame, the scene painted in the manner of 17th-century Dutch tavern interiors.

Condition: Painting with minor edge wear and small scattered paint losses, surface craquelure and light grime; metal support sound. Frame with noticeable rubbing, losses and chipping to the gilt gesso, consistent with age; structurally stable and presentable.
