Substantial Middle Eastern cloisonné enamel on metal vessel of lobed form, likely intended as an incense burner or brazier, now suitable as a small jardinière or flower pot, decorated in alternating panels of dense floral scrollwork and hexagonal millefiori-style diaper in rich enamels of turquoise, red, blue, green and white. Raised on a separate carved hardwood stand with four bracket feet. Condition: enamel with scattered areas of wear, small nicks and minor losses at high points and along some panel edges; interior with oxidation and soiling, and missing its original metal insert; stand with scuffs and small edge chips consistent with use. Overall height with stand approx. 11 in., vessel height approx. 8 1/2 in., diameter approx. 11 in.
